Course Content
This online course is designed to provide the learner with an understanding and knowledge of the issues of conflict in Health & Social Care settings, reasons for conflict & potential effects on the workforce. You will also look at strategies for reducing & managing conflict.
During the session you will be able to develop an awareness and understanding of:
• Different kinds of conflict that may occur in the workplace
• Underlying reasons that can contribute to conflict
• The effects of conflict in the workplace
• Communication skills and approaches
• The conflict management process
• Anyone aged 19 or over.
• No previous experience is required. Basic IT skills are essential
You will need access to a Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone. Please bring a notepad, pen or pencil and a small folder for handouts and your work. You may wish to use a memory stick.
This course will be delivered online. You will need access to the internet and an email account. Your teacher will contact you on a weekly basis through Skype, email and Google Classroom and you will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions across the County. You will be given tasks to complete at each session and instructions and online demonstrations
Your teacher will give you verbal and written feedback throughout the course.
You will receive an accredited certificate of achievement on successful completion of this course.

  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
