Course Content
This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their knowledge around supporting individuals with learning disabilities. It is aimed at learners who support individuals with learning disabilities as part of their job role. It will also raise learners’ awareness of dementia and mental health
No previous experience is required. Basic IT skills are essential.
You will need access to a Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone.
This course will be delivered online. You will need access to the internet and an email account. Your teacher will contact you on a weekly basis through Skype, Zoom, email and OneFile. You will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions across the County. You will be given tasks to complete at each session and instructions and online demonstrations.
You will be given verbal and written feedback. Assessments will be in a variety of forms which will include written assignments and individual research tasks.

  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
