Course Content
This course will introduce the concepts of creative thinking and creative experimentation as tools to help cope with change, increase motivation and to stretch existing abilities. It will introduce some techniques which can develop and support creative thinking. You will have the opportunity to try these techniques and support others to do so.
You will:
• Identify examples of creative thinking
• Practice using a creative technique
• Select and use a creative tool or technique appropriately to come up with original creative solutions for at least one problem or situation
• Be able to reflect on your own experience of creative experimentation and explore how you could use this tool in other contexts
• Support others to use creative tools and learn from their experiences
This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.This is not a self help group or therapy session.
No previous experience is required. Basic IT skills are essential
This course will be delivered online. You will need access to the internet and an email account. Your teacher will contact you on a weekly basis through Skype, email and Google Classroom and you will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions across the County. You will be given tasks to complete at each session and instructions and online demonstrations.
Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.
You will receive an ALSS certificate of achievement on successful completion of the course.

  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
