Course Content
If you would like to get started with the basics of photo editing to correct and enhance your digital images, then this is an ideal opportunity to have a go. No software installation or registration is needed.

By the end of the course you should be able to access your digital images in preparation for editing and apply a range of editing techniques, such as brightness/contrast and retouching, enhance your photo with exciting elements such as borders and stickers and save your edited photo
This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.
No previous experience is required. Basic IT skills are essential. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, you may wish to enrol on our Get started with Zoom course prior to starting this course.
This course will be delivered online. You will need access to a computer, ideally with a mouse to control the various tools you will use. If you would like to access images stored on other devices, such as a phone or tablet, you may need a connecting USB cable. Your teacher will contact you via Zoom and email and you will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions across the County. You will be given tasks to complete during this session as well as instructions and online demonstrations.
Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.
You will receive an ALSS certificate of achievement on successful completion of this course.

  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
