Course Content
Being able to use a spreadsheet to organise information such as travel expenses or a shopping list is a great timesaver and transferrable skill. With Google sheets, a free online app you can easily keep track of and sort data and use it’s features to calculate data quickly. This short course looks at how you can add data, format a spreadsheet, organise and understand data.

You will learn how to add insert and delete data, format a spreadsheet, perform simple calculations and make data easier to understand.
This course is for anyone aged 19 or over.
You will be confident accessing the internet. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, you may wish to enrol on our Get started with Zoom course prior to starting this course.
This course will be delivered online using Zoom. You will need access to a laptop, tablet or smartphone with access to the internet and an email account. You will also need a Google account. We offer a course Getting Started with Google Apps course if you need help doing this.
Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.
You will receive an ALSS certificate of achievement on successful completion of this course.

  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
