Course Content
This course is designed for adults who may not have been in education for some time and may be looking to upskill, whether for a promotion or for a change in career. During the first three sessions you will be given the knowledge of what is involved when working towards a level 3 qualification and how you can successfully achieve this. On your final session, you will meet a teacher from your chosen sector who will go into more detail of your chosen subject area of what is required and what to expect throughout your chosen qualification.

Open Entry Requirements

This course is aimed at adults aged 19+ who are looking for information and advice on gaining a level 3 qualification in their chosen area.

Open What Will I Need?

This course will be delivered online. You will need to have regular access to the internet, a PC laptop or tablet and email account to make the most of the online sessions

Open Assessment Methods

You will be given regular feedback throughout this course from your teacher and a variety of assessment methods will be used including the use of quizzes and online word documents.

Open What Will I Achieve?

You will gain a good insight on what is involved when working towards a level 3 qualification.

Open Progression

You will have the opportunity to progress to a suitable qualification in your chosen area.

  • English, maths including GCSEs and computing courses (up to Level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2023).
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your individual employed/self employed income is below £20,319.
  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
