Learning in the local community has changed the lives of many adults across North Yorkshire and you could be one of them!
Research shows that learning throughout adulthood and into later life encourages important social interaction, gives a sense of hope and purpose and helps cope with stress, all of which has a positive impact on maintaining and improving our mental health and wellbeing.
This course will provide an opportunity to read and interpret a range of short inspirational stories and look at the writing techniques and language used. You will discuss characters, plot and writing style to support an appreciation of reading and an interest in writing styles and techniques
During the course you will:
• Read a range of short fictional stories
• Discuss your interpretations and preferences
• Take part in fun group activities
This course is delivered for up to 10 hours in 5 weekly sessions to allow time for reading each story
