Course Content
This qualification aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families. The Level 2 Award provides an awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. This qualification is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy
As this course is online, you will require basic IT skills and be aged 19 years and over. In order to be accepted onto this course you would need to have attended the free course ‘Introduction to Dementia Awareness’
You will require and email address, access to the internet and a suitable electronic device such as a tablet, laptop or PC to take part in the virtual classroom
There will be a range of activities and tasks throughout the course and you will receive feedback from you teacher throughout

  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
