Course Content

Whether you are an individual interested in gaining a basic knowledge of mental health for personal or professional reasons, or an employer looking for mental health awareness training for employees, this course is ideal. Our CPD certified online mental health awareness course will increase your knowledge and understanding of how cultural diversity, social and personal elements can cause mental health problems, how to recognise and respond to mental health conditions and provide you with a range of skills needed when working in mental health.

Open Entry Requirements


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2022 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.
You must have a good basic understanding of English, maths and IT.
You will be asked to complete a short assessment prior to this course starting to ensure it is right for you.

Open What Will I Need?


This course will be completed online; you will need access to a Laptop or Tablet with regular access to the internet and an email account.
You will receive a login for our learning platform where your resources will be stored, this will allow you to access them whenever you chose to study.

Open Assessment Methods


This is a short auto-assessed course. Once completed and asessments achieved you will be able to save a certificate for your own records

Open What Will I Achieve?


Once completed and assessments passed you will be able to save and print a certificate of completion.

Open Progression


Progression may include another short auto-assessed course, a tauht online course or face to face delivery. Options will be discussed with your 'teacher'

Helping you financially

  • 92% of our learners receive full funding for their learning. Our mission is to support you on the right learning path (T&C apply).
  • We can offer financial support relating to childcare costs, travel costs, course fees, books etc. (T&C apply).
  • You can pay for your course in instalments (over £100). Please ask for details.
  • English, maths including GCSEs and computing courses (up to Level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2023).
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your individual employed/self employed income is below £20,319.
  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
