This qualification aims to develop the knowledge and skills required when providing positive care for people with dementia and their families. The Level 2 Award provides an awareness of the causes and symptoms of dementia. This qualification is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy.

As this course is online, you will require basic IT skills and be aged 19 years and over as at 31st August 2022. In order to be accepted onto this course you would need to have attended the free course ‘Introduction to Dementia Awareness’.

You will require and email address, access to the internet and a suitable electronic device such as a tablet, laptop or PC to take part in the virtual classroom.

There will be a range of activities and tasks throughout the course and you will receive feedback from you teacher throughout.
