Course Content
This is a 2 week non-accredited introduction to Sage Accounts, which needs to be completed prior to progressing to the Skillsfirst Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting for Business (Sage).
This course covers:
• Overview of Sage Accounts Software
• English, maths and ICT skills needed for Accountancy level 1 and 2 qualifications
• Assessing your current English, maths and ICT qualifications
• How will I learn?
• What are the possible progression options?
• Resources required to complete courses using Sage software

This course is for anyone aged 19 as at 31 August 2022 or over living in North Yorkshire with a valid Post Code.
No previous experience is required. Basic IT skills are essential.

You will need access to a Laptop.
This course will be delivered online using Teams. You will need access to the internet and an Email account. Your teacher will contact you via Teams/ Email, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions across the County. You may be given tasks to complete at each session and online demonstrations.


Verbal and/or written feedback will be provided throughout this course.

You will achieve an understanding of the requirements of the Skillsfirst Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting for Business (Sage).

This non-accredited Introduction to Sage Accounts, which once completed, can lead to progression to the Skillsfirst Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounting for Business (Sage).

  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
