Catering to specific diets can be a struggle and never more so that at Christmas. If you’re concerned that the staples are off the menu this year, then we may be able to help. We are offering 2 taster demonstration classes just in time for 25th December.

Recipes shared on the course are ideal for anyone with coeliac disease or who need a gluten free diet.

Don’t be caught short with shortcrust
Friday, 16th December 2022 from 12.30pm until 2.30pm – Selby Training Room

Whether it’s a festive quiche or sweet mince pies, this session will demonstrate how to make tasty shortcrust pastry. Often gluten free pastry can be chalky or grainy and very difficult to roll. You can buy ready made but it’s expensive! During this demonstration you will see how simple and cost effective making your own gluten free pastry can be.
During this session you will:
• Identify the ingredients for gluten free shortcrust pastry
• Discuss the challenges of a gluten free diet
• Take the gluten free taste challenge – can you spot the difference?

This course is a hybred course and will be taught both online and in the classroom.
