Course Content

This is a 1 week non-accredited Introduction to Level 2 Sage Accounts, which needs to be completed prior to progressing to the Skillsfirst Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounting for Business using Sage Business Cloud.
This course covers:
• Overview of Sage Accounts Software and content of the Skillsfirst Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounting for Business course.
• English, maths and ICT skills needed for the level 3 qualification
• How will I learn and expectations of the course
• What are the possible progression options?
• Resources required to complete courses using Sage software


You must be aged 19 or over as at 31 August 2022.
You must have completed the Skillsfirst Award in Computerised Accounting level 1 or equivalivent in Computerised Accounting. You must hold a maths and English qualification at level 2 and be competent with IT.


You will need access to a laptop or computer with camera and microphone, Microsoft Office & email.
This course will be delivered online using Teams. You will need access to the internet and an email account. Your teacher will contact you via Teams/email, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions. You may be given tasks to complete at each session and online demonstrations. You will also need a pen, paper & calculator.


Verbal and/or written feedback will be provided throughout this course.


You will achieve an understanding of the requirements of the Skillsfirst Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Accounting for Business course.

  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
