Course Content

Put a Spring in your step by creating some wonderful spring flowers out of paper and fabrics. This course will give you the skills and confidence in creating your own Spring flowers using a mixture of materials inspired by Easter. You will then use these to create a beautiful flower jar to display in your window or dining table.

Open What Will I Need?


This course will be delivered face to face. A basic range of practical equipment and materials will be provided, however you may want to provide your own jam jar and some small Easter Decorations to add to your work.

Open Assessment Methods


Your tutor will give you verbal and written feedback on your progress throughout the session, with hints and tips on how to improve your technique and continue to develop your skills.

Open What Will I Achieve?


You will receive an Adult Learning Certificate of Achievement after successfully completing the course.

Open Progression


We have follow on courses such as Arts and Craft, developing Dressmaking skills, Home textiles or Creative Textiles.

  • English, maths including GCSEs and computing courses (up to Level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2023).
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your individual employed/self employed income is below £20,319.
  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
