There's never been a better or more important time to understand your finances. This five week course investigates a different area of finance every week to ensure you're as clued-up as possible when it comes to your money.
The course will help you to:
• understand where all your money goes. How to cut costs without losing out by working out best buys and using comparison websites
• set a budget using simple tools
• better understand interest rates and saving versus borrowing
• understand your payslip, tax, national insurance and pension contributions
• recognise where to go for help and support when needed
During the course, you will work on activities led by your teacher and take part in group discussions.

To be eligible for a free funded course you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2022 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.

You may wish to have a notepad and pen for taking notes and a folder to store notes and handouts.

Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.

Your teacher will make you aware of other courses available through Adult Learning such as Maths and Digital skills courses.

This course is part of the Multiply initiative and a £10 voucher and other goodies will be provided on successful completion of the full course.
