Course Content

This is a 1 week non-accredited face to face session for those who wish to see what Sage Accounts has to offer.
This course covers:
• Overview of SageLine 50 Accounts Software and our accredited accounts courses
• English, maths and ICT skills needed for Accountancy Level 1 and 2 qualifications
• Assessing your current English, maths and ICT qualifications
• How will I learn?
• What are the possible progression options?
• Resources required to complete courses using Sage software


You must be aged 19 or over as at 31 August 2023.
You must be competent with IT and be confident in English and maths.
No previous experience using Sage or in Accounts is required but basic IT Skills are essential. Please bring with you a pen, calculator, notepad and folder to keep your work in.
This course will be delivered at Ripon Community House, Ripon. Please check the location in the details of this course before applying.
You will have the opportunity to use Sage Line 50 through differing tasks and following tutor demonstration, contribute to group discussions and have a 1:1 discussion with your tutor to discuss next steps.

  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
