Course Content

Mental Wellbeing means different things to different people – it can be measure of how we feel, what we feel able to do or how we are coping in a particular moment. There are a range of online activities and resources that can support good mental wellbeing and during this session we will spend time exploring some of these to help you decide which ones are right for you.
During this course you will:
• Explore a range of online mental wellbeing resources and activities including:
o Journaling
o Gratitude diaries
o Meditation, relaxation and visualisation stories
o Positive affirmations
o Volunteering
o Podcasts
• Assess the benefits of each resource to you


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2023 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


This course is online. You will need to have access to a personal computer or laptop, a working camera and microphone, access to the Internet and an email account to make the most of the online sessions. If you are keen to take notes, please have a notepad, pen or pencil to hand.


Your teacher will give verbal feedback throughout the course.


You will receive an ALSS certificate of achievement on successful completion of this course.

  • You can pay for your course in instalments (over £100). Please ask for details.
  • English, maths including GCSEs and computing courses (up to Level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2023).
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your individual employed/self employed income is below £20,319.
  • If you have not yet achieved a Level 3 qualification or equivalent, you could learn for FREE.
  • Don’t worry if you have already gained a Level 3 qualification, but want to change your career path and try something new – you can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan which you start to pay back when you earn over £27,295.
  • From April 2023, some Level 3 courses will be available for FREE to adults who are unemployed or earning below the National Living Wage annually (£20,319), even if you already have a Level 3 qualification or higher.
