Attendance is on a Thursday afternoon AND Friday morning for this course

This course is for you want to begin to develop your digital skills and will help you to:

• Build confidence with using a computer safely
• Navigate the internet and complete an online form
• Set up and use an email account

Open only to Clients of Northallerton Job Centre

To be eligible for a free funded course you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2023 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.
Entry to this course is restricted to Skip Northallerton Job Centre Plus referrals

Open What Will I Need?


You may wish to bring a notepad and pen for taking notes and a folder to store notes and handouts.

Open Assessment Methods


Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.

Open What Will I Achieve?


You will receive an ALSS certificate of achievement on successful completion of this course.

Open Progression


You will be able to develop your digital skills further by taking additional courses. For example, you may like to learn more about using Digital Skills and Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Spreadsheets, or about online safety and cybersecurity. Your teacher will discuss progression options with you.

  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
