Course Content

This course is suitable for families who want to get ready for summer in a creative, cost-effective, and sustainable manner. It is open to families who would like to come together to learn to develop crafting skills. Bring the children along to spend quality time learning together.
During the session you will be supported by our teacher to guide you and your children to create a variety of fun summer crafts.


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.
All children must attend the session with an adult and please ensure to book your place.

The opportunity to work with your children to complete a crafts project.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.


You may wish to progress onto Adult Learning programmes – Starter for 10 course. Or talk to one of our team who could help support you with your chosen career.


Parents/carers are required to stay with their children throughout the session and work alongside them to create their craft project.

Helping you financially

  • English, maths and computing courses (up to level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2024)
  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
