Course Content

The Best Possible Self is designed to introduce learners to a transformative journey of personal development. This course is designed to empower learners to imagine and work towards their best possible selves. Through a combination of self-reflection, goal setting, using strategies to enhance various aspects of their lives. This journey will inspire learners to unlock their full potential and live a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life. It will be delivered through a combination of teaching, interactive discussions, group activities; and goal setting. The following topics will be covered: Understanding the best possible self concept; Goal setting and personal growth; Exploring positive emotions and strengths; Building resilience; Action planning and implementation.
This will enable learners to have transferable skills, such as, thinking skills, planning and time management, self assessment, and career development.

Open Entry Requirements


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.

Open What Will I Need?


A good basic level of maths and English. No further entry requirements.

Open Assessment Methods


Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course, and you will create a portfolio of work as a permanent record of learning.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.

  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
