Course Content

Wellbeing Course is designed to empower learners with the skills and strategies needed to communicate confidently, express their needs, and build positive relationships. Learners will develop assertiveness techniques, conflict resolution strategies and effective communication methods to navigate various personal and professional situations. It will be delivered through a combination of teaching, interactive discussions, group activities, and roleplay. The following topics will be covered: Understanding communication styles; Principles of assertive communication; Building self-confidence; Expressing needs and boundaries; Conflict resolution skills; Assertiveness in professional and personal life.
This will enable learners to have transferable skills, such as, thinking skills, planning and time management, self-assessment, problem solving and career planning.


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


A good basic level of maths and English. No further entry requirements.


Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course, and you will create a portfolio of work as a permanent record of learning.


Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.


On completion of this course, further wellbeing and accredited courses will be made available to you. Your teacher will discuss these with you.

  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
