The Cooking on a Budget Course will support you to create nutritious, healthy food for you and your family. It is a hands-on cooking experience with learners carrying out a range of cookery skills, guided by our qualified cookery teacher.
You will be involved in preparing, cooking, and clearing up whilst learning basic cookery techniques and food safety. You can take home your completed recipes to enjoy. The recipes will use affordable everyday ingredients to make your money go further and using time, fuel saving methods and appliances.
During the course you will:
• Discuss recipes and alternatives to make meals go further and appeal to all the family
• Develop skills in basic food preparation techniques, reducing waste and encouraging the whole family to eat healthily
• Explore savvy shopping with seasonal product shopping and reduced priced goods
Use portable appliances and become better acquainted with your own kitchen appliances to ensure they are used to their full potential.
By combining simple ingredients with store cupboard staples, you will broaden your culinary adventures!
