Course Content

This is a two-hour session where you will learn about Anxiety and stress, what the term means and difficulties those with Anxiety face on a daily basis. The course will cover how Anxiety affects the individual. The session will also cover coping strategies and mindfulness. Learners will be provided with some interesting statistics about Anxiety.

To be eligible for a free funded course you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


You may wish to bring a notepad and pen for taking notes and a folder to store notes and handouts.



Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.


You will achieve greater awareness, knowledge and understanding about anxiety and stress. Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.

Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.


You will have the opportunity to meet with one of our team who will be able to offer advice on the variety of learning opportunities.


The course will help you to:
Reflect on how anxiety can affect individuals and what can be done to help with this.
