Course Content

This is the second part of the Introduction to Interior Design.This follows on from Introduction 1 where learners have discovered their Seasonal Interior colour personality and created a variety of mood boards. This course encourages learners to take their design ideas further by creating professional looking room designs using word and Canva. Learners will be able to hone their design skills further as we examine the feel and purpose of different spaces in the home, who uses them, and what are they used for? In addition to working on a design brief for a potential client!


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.



Just come along all will be provided at first session - teacher will advise for future clases


Observation in class and feedback from teacher.


Information with regards to other learning opportunites and individual IAG support if required.

You will gain in confidence as you share ideas with other group members, meet new people and make friends, have fun, and discover how to be your own interior designer.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.


Progression to Intro to craft level 1, Interior design, Step into employment, Digital skills, Gateway IT design.



Do not worry if you do not have any IT Skills as full traing and support will be given.

Due to funding restrictions, learners are not permitted to repeat courses. We understand this may be disappointing, but we are committed to supporting you in every way we can.   • English, maths and computing courses (up to level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2024)
  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
