Partner course for Harrogate Neighbours.

This course will support you and allow you to be able to aks questions about your devices that you are unsure of. We may be able to help you with setting the device up, setting up an application or just understanding how it works.
Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


If you are keen to take notes, please have a notepad, pen or pencil to hand.


Your teacher will assess your knowledge at the start of the course and your individual learning will be tailored accordingly. Observation of your progress throughout the various tasks will be used to assess your skills. Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course.


Following the course, you will be able to save and print a certificate of completion.

You can progress to similar IT courses relating to other Microsoft Office applications, community learning courses or our Digital functional skills courses. Your teacher will advise you of the suitability and availability of these.

  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
