Course Content

A course on Creating a Positive Work Environment focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to cultivate a supportive, engaging, and productive workplace. It covers essential topics such as the benefits of positivity in the workplace, characteristics of a positive environment, and effective management techniques. Participants learn how to foster open communication, mutual respect, and recognition among team members. The course also addresses how to identify and mitigate negativity, ensuring a healthy work atmosphere. Additionally, it provides strategies for sustaining positivity through regular check-ins, celebrating successes, and promoting work-life balance. Through practical examples and interactive activities, the course aims to help participants apply these concepts in real-world scenarios, ultimately enhancing overall job satisfaction and productivity.


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


A good basic level of maths and English. No further entry requirements.
Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course, and you will create a portfolio of work as a permanent record of learning.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.


Other personal and professional development courses will be available to you including a range of accredited courses such as Level 1 Employability, Level 1 Customer Service, Basic Accounting, Level 1 Award in preparing to work in schools, Level 2 Team Leading, Level 1 & Level 2 Maths or English. Your teacher will discuss these with you.

  • English, maths and computing courses (up to level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2024)
  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
