Course Content

During this introductory course you will try a range of Fabric paining techniques and have the opportunity to create your own piece of art work.
This course is ideal for beginner who want to learn more about watercolour techniques and sample these.


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.



A notepad and pen/ pencil may be helpful to take notes during the session.


Your tutor will give you verbal and written feedback on your project throughout the course, with guidance on how to improve and continue to develop your skills. This course will include demonstrations and discussions. Learners will try a range of watercolour techniques. The teacher will provide feedback on your progress.


Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.


You will have the opportunity to meet with one of our team who will be able to offer advice on the variety of learning opportunities. You will have the opportunity to complete a Food Safety qualification as progression from this course.


Due to funding restrictions, learners are not permitted to repeat courses. We understand this may be disappointing, but we are committed to supporting you in every way we can.   • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
