Partner course for Hambleton Community Action, Northallerton

Are you passionate about your community? Would you like to work with like minded individuals to complete a project which includes elements of sustainability, resilience, and protecting the enviroment. This is 10 week course using crafts as a basis for a fund raising project agreed by you.

A willingness to try new ideas, work as a small team to achieve a common goal.


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


All materials will be provided.



This is assessed through the gathering of naturally occuring evidence, regular feedback will be given.


You will gain an Entry Level 3 Certificate in Progression. By the end of the course you will have contributed to the agreed project and helped build a stronger team working towards a fund raising project, and will have developed valuable transferable skills including decision making, problem solving, networking and research skills.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.


You will have the opportunity to progress. You will have the chance to explore these further with a member of our IAG team.

  • English, maths and computing courses (up to level 1) are FREE subject to eligibility (adult learners aged 19+ at 31st August 2024)
  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,000
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
