Course Content

This course will provide a an overview of the Skillsfirst level 3 accredited qualification for those who have completed AAT level 3 & Skillsfirst level 1 computerised accounts who are looking to improve their accounting software skills.

This is a 1 week non-accredited Introduction to Level 3 Sage Accounts, which needs to be completed prior to progressing to the Skillsfirst Computerised Finance for Business Level 3 using Sage Business Cloud.
This course covers:
• Overview of Sage Accounts Software and content of the Skillsfirst Computerised Accounting for Business Level 3 course.
• English, maths and ICT skills needed for the level 3 qualification
• How will I learn and expectations of the course
• What are the possible progression options?
• Resources required to complete courses using Sage software.


To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2024 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.
You should be working at level 2 in maths, English and ICT.You will also need to have completed Skillsfirst level 1 Computerised accounts course (or eqivalent) & an accounting qualification at level 3.


You will need access to a calculator, laptop or computer & email. A smartphone or tablet is not suitable.



Your teacher will give verbal and written feedback throughout the course. You will complete online practice assessments during the course and 2 assessments which are taken at home.



Knowledge of the Computerised Accounting qualification level 3.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.
