Do you provide information, advice and guidance to others at work, as a volunteer or in your community? Would you like to help them make informed choices about their learning, work and wellbeing? If so, Navigator training is for you! In just a couple of 2 hour sessions you will get the tools and skills to confidently signpost the people you work with to the help they need. We'll introduce you to key information sources and to a wide range of learning and work opportunities. You'll meet CiCi the Careers Chatbot and learn how to produce a career action plan. You'll gain an Award in Career Planning and Personal Development and a Certified Navigator Work and Skills digital badge. On successful completion of your training, you will receive a FREE tablet to support you in your work with others and a £20 amazon voucher as a thank you for all the valuable signposting that you do. You'll become a member of a county wide network of Navigators trained to signpost others to the help they need, and will have access to ongoing support and further training opportunities to help you develop personally and professionally.

Navigator training is free of charge and is open to anyone who provides information, advice and guidance to others, whether in the workplace, in a voluntary capacity, in the community or in a healthcare setting. You will need to commit to completing the Navigator training and to receiving updates on information and professional development opportunities that will support you in your work or volunteer role.

You will need an internet enabled device and access to the internet.

The training is interactive and you will receive verbal and written feedback from your tutor.

You will gain the Entry Level 3 Award in Progression: Career Planning and Personal Development. You will also gain Certified Work and Skills Navigator status, and earn a digital badge that you can use to showcase your achievement to employers.

As a Navigator, there is a wide range of professional development opportunities and accredited courses available to you free of charge, including the Level 2 Certificate in Information Advice and Guidance. You will have the chance to explore these further with a member of our Learning Advice team.

This training is supported by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, using funding from the Department for Work and Pensions' Get Britain Working Economic Inactivity Trailblazer.
