This 6-week programme is an ideal progression from the Get started with Word Processing course and is designed to give an overview of Microsoft Word for learners who wish to develop these basic skills. There is a strong emphasis on improving your employability skills; by completing this course, you will be able to work more efficiently in your job, at home and with IT in general. It follows a structured syllabus working through a range of topics to cover specific knowledge areas and skills.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
• use formatting and page layout tools
• develop document layout for a variety of purposes, for example, CV, Letters, posters, reports, rotas and newsletters
• incorporate images, tables and other objects to enhance your documents
• identify built in tools to effectively produce meaningful documents using a range of techniques
You will work through a variety of exercises and project tasks to suit your learning needs and will work individually, or in groups led by a specialist teacher.
