Course Content

This two‑hour awareness course introduces learners to distressed behaviour, helping them to recognise what distressed behaviour is and understand the common causes behind it. The session explores practical ways to respond appropriately and confidently, focusing on calm, supportive, and effective responses that promote safety and wellbeing. By the end of the course, learners will have a clearer understanding of distressed behaviour and feel more prepared to respond in a positive and informed way.





To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as of 31st August 2025 and not be an apprentice.

Further eligibility may be linked to where you live, and we will check that at the enrolment stage.

We may contact you for further information or refer you to an alternative provision.

No previous experience is required.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.

Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.

  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
