Partner course for Swinton Band

This short introductory course is for anyone who is involved in writing funding bids for their local charity or community group. During the session you will:
Explore tips for making more successful applications
Identify common reasons applications fail
Prepare answers to key questions
Discuss good practice in using AI to support bid writing

To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2025 and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.


You may like to have a notebook and pen to create reference notes. All other resources will be provided.



Your teacher will give you written and verbal throughout the session.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles.   • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
