Course Content

This beginner Cricut course introduces learners to the essential skills needed to confidently operate a Cricut machine and use Cricut Design Space. Participants will learn how to create simple designs using text and shapes, prepare materials for cutting, and understand key functions such as grouping, attaching, and welding. Through hands‑on practice, staff will complete basic vinyl and iron‑on projects while developing confidence in designing, cutting, weeding, and assembling personalised items. By the end of the course, learners will have the foundational knowledge required to create simple products for professional or creative use.





To be eligible for funding for courses you must be over 19 years of age as at 31st August 2025
and not be an apprentice, further eligibility may be linked to where you live and we will check that at enrolment stage and may contact you for further information or refer you to alternative provision.



Everything required on the course will be provided.



You will be assessed throughout the course based on your engagement in practical tasks and through discussions and questioning.



An understanding of how to operate a cricut to support development and confidence.

Throughout your time learning with us, you will also have developed a whole range of skills that can be transferred from your course to a working environment, your home life or your own personal development.
Skills such as time management, organisation, research skills, networking and presenting ideas are all part of your learning journey along with decision making, problem solving and overcoming obstacles. All these skills will help you to become a confident, self-motivated person and will assist you on your chosen pathway.

  • Reduced course fees for non-qualification courses if you receive a qualifying benefit.
  • Qualification courses at Level 2 or below are FREE if your income is below £25,750
  • Discretionary Learner Support funding relating to cover fees, books etc (qualifications only) T&C apply.
  • Pay for your course in instalments via direct debit (over £100), ask for details.
  • 19+ Advanced Learner Loans for Level 3 courses and above – no repayments until you earn over £25,000
